This may very well be the biggest stressor at the moment. how Isaac? you may ask, here’s how, to use an example we'll use Friday as an example, I switched shifts with my friend josh pierce, he wanted to leave Friday early so he took my shift last Sunday and I his Friday, no problem there, it's been quiet for a good portion of the night. So I tell Laura one of the people I work with "hey is it cool with you if I take off at 9:30 instead of 10:30 so I can get home a little early?" and she was cool with that, all night passes she's telling me how crazy Wednesday was (half the campus' wireless died) and how Thursday was at a local club here in Dallas. Shortly after that (9:15) 12 AP's go down, and I’m the only tech there, it's Friday so I have to hoof it instead of using the shuttle to walk a good mile there. I finally after 10 mins am able to talk the lady into the fact that I am a tech and need to reset the switches and fiber connection in the tech closet...finally squeeze into their reset them all and...The ENTIRE NETWORK GOES DOWN...for 15 mins but OMG Laura hated me...as she stared in horror at a wall of red AP's, Switches, and servers, and network storage drives. so after that catastrophe I get Don, Ben, and Steve all calling me asking what happened I told them and they said "oh ok" Ben was going to come help me but after I told him what I did he said that’s what he would have done so not much else can be done...so after that I punch out at 10:00 get all my crap from my dorm and hoof it once again about a mile to the parking lot...so after getting into the car and lighting a black I turn right off of Kiest and start heading west on 20....why I have no idea and then after seeing signs for Abilene it hits me "Isaac you idiot your going west on 20!!!" do a U-turn over the overpass and finally head back to Bullard...and got their at about 1:00...and almost got pulled over by a State Trooper too...
and with that Ladies and Gents I’m off to finish an English Paper and then off to work...Thanksgiving can’t get here soon enough....
